Sometimes, I want to blog, but I don’t have an essay-length idea to share. So I am going to start using these “aside” style posts when I just have a brief rant or thought to share.


I often hear “abled” as the opposite of “disabled,” but I think the opposite of “disabled” would be “enabled.”

Everyone is abled in one way or another. But society and circumstances often work to enable some and disable others in various contexts.
